What is love?

So I was asked the question the other day, what is love? And I jokingly said an excuse for people to get gifts, cards, candy and backrubs. Which by the way is no where even close to what I think it is. And so being in a romantic predicament myself I decided to give it some thought and I think I have come up with a little bit of an explanation. For those that are questioning whether what you're feeling for the one your with is love, or for those of you that are trying to rekindle a love you want to last forever. Love is more than a feeling, idea or symbol; its everything. Everything to everyone, love is just like our lives. It is full of hardships, joys, tears, pain and things that you will never forget. The feeling of love is strong enough to stop anything, when that spark shoots you can't really keep things moving, they stop on their own. For guys its a no eat, no sleep, world series kind of feeling. Nothing else matters at that moment, no matter what is or was going on, you become absorbed in her, and you don't want to be anywhere else. Love is them making your day no matter where or how, what they look like anywhere makes you happy, laughing at their flaws when they fret about them. You love people that you can't live without, and if you can't live without someone you'd do anything for them. You're chest hurts when they leave, and you can't think of anything else. Their crazy moments make you smile when your lips touch you don't ever want it to end.

Now to falling in love. Falling in love is something that you cannot control, and something you can't force or time to your benefit. Falling in love with someone can happen fast or slow, the things they do could just never get old or they could simply drive you wild, and make you laugh and smile everyday. Most times it can't really be explained, hence why its physical explanation is so difficult to grasp.

So my question to you if you're questioning it, is why? Love is unplanned, unpredictable and never ending. Something that crazy, wild, wrenching, painful, joyful, fulfilling and unexpected should be pretty easy to spot. And if you're already in love, never let it go. You'll never know how lucky you are until you've given up on it.
